ObamaSD is a committee of San Diegans committed to helping elect Senator Barack Obama to the White House in 2008. Like America, we are not made up of one color, one creed, one race, one gender, one sexual orientation, or even one political philosophy. We come from diverse backgrounds, and we unite for one reason: Because each of us believes that Barack Obama is the right man, at the right time, to lead our nation. To lead our nation away from war; to lead our nation away from the divisions and the animosity and the fear that has settled in over the past eight years; to lead our nation back to where it is strongest – dedicated to solidarity and inclusiveness, socially responsible on both a domestic and international playing field; a global leader not by force, but by example.

As a grassroots organization, we are looking for dedicated people who can band together to become a crucial part of this critical moment in history. We are committed to spreading the word about Senator Obama, raising funds, spreading awareness, getting out the vote, and anything and everything else we can do to get Barack Obama into the White House.

The organization is what we make it. Each member brings his or her own strength and passion. Each brings a unique skill set, a unique perspective, and a unique background. We want to incorporate them all – young, old, experienced, inexperienced, male, female – the Obama presidential campaign is nothing if not inclusive. We want your drive, your passion, your intellect, your dedication, your ideas, your sweat.
